The four categories
Tokenized Deposits
The current product. The deposit stays on the bank’s core and becomes
transferable on a digital ledger.
Stablecoins
CTS supports offering selected third-party stablecoins to clients and
using one as a settlement asset between banks.
Real World Assets
The architecture generalizes to other asset classes, but the required
product is not built yet.
Securities
Securities are available on the general ledger today. The wider use case
remains directional.
What does not change between asset types
Four parts of the deployment are indifferent to the asset being tokenized. A new asset class therefore requires a connector and compliance work, not a new platform:- The digital ledger. It holds tokenized balances without needing to know what the balance represents. See Digital Ledger Support.
- Ledger sync. Mirroring and writeback keep the digital ledger and the authoritative system in agreement in both directions. See Banking Core Integrations.
- Custody. CTS never holds private keys for assets on shared or public networks. The custodian signs under the bank’s policy. See Digital Asset Custody.
- Interoperability. IBC carries authenticated messages between ledgers regardless of the asset in the message. See Inter-Blockchain Communication.
How to read this section
The tokenized deposits page describes a shipped product. The stablecoins page separates current support from the platform’s broader scope. The real world assets and securities pages describe use cases suited to the architecture, not features available for deployment today.Contact
sales@cosmoslabs.io to discuss an asset class that is not covered here instead
of assuming it is available.
