Tokenized deposits app

The tokenized deposits app is the application layer of the Cosmos Tokenization Suite. It drives tokenization, maintains the operational view of both ledgers and their reconciliation status, and provides the interface for bank staff. The app connects to the bank’s existing enterprise applications through the policy and logs interface. Identity management, compliance and risk, and the bank’s policy engine continue governing activity without being reimplemented.

Digital ledger

The digital ledger is the blockchain ledger CTS creates alongside the core. It holds the tokenized representation of deposits, giving the bank access to custody services, other networks, and counterparty banks. The bank chooses whether the digital ledger runs on the Cosmos EVM ledger or its own ledger. See Digital Ledger Support.

Ledger sync

Ledger sync is the bidirectional link between the core ledger and the digital ledger. Tokenization reads core transactions and writes the corresponding entries to the digital ledger. Writeback pushes digital ledger activity back to the core. Because most cores already exchange this data through ISO 20022, transactions are retrieved as camt.054 messages. See ISO 20022 Messaging. CTS keeps the reconciliation status between the two ledgers continuously visible. See Reconciliation.

Custody connectors

A custody connector is the interface to a digital asset custody provider. The provider supplies the wallets and addresses the bank uses for digital assets such as settlement stablecoins, and it can custody assets on behalf of the bank’s clients. Providers include established firms such as Fireblocks and Anchorage, and a bank’s own hardware security modules when it holds its own keys. CTS never holds private keys for assets on a shared or public network. It issues signing requests, and the custodian applies the bank’s policy before signing. See Digital Asset Custody.

Networks connectors

A network connector is the interface to an external network across three tiers: Connectors determine which assets the bank can host for clients. They also determine which networks can receive a client’s tokenized deposit from the bank.

Core connectors

A core connector is the integration point for the bank’s existing core banking platform. Supported integration points cover Fiserv, Jack Henry, ISO 20022 file drops, and others. For Fiserv-based cores, CTS is available pre-integrated through the Fiserv App Market. See Banking Core Integrations.

Settlement bus

The settlement bus is the path for settling interbank obligations between the originating and receiving institutions’ core ledgers. See Settlement Asset Custody for 24/7 Payments.
